Process-info.org contains a growing database of executable processes (mostly with .EXE extension) and DLL libraries. You can search for processes through search box or navigate alphabeticaly by starting letter of process name.

Brief description of process

mcafee.update.exe.exe is process associated with malicious software Trojan.W32.Renama. Trojan.W32.Renama worm attempts to harvest email addresses from the Windows Address Book and send itself as an attachment. Due to bugs in the code, the email routines are likely to fail. The worm creates many copies of itself in various folders on the infected computer's hard disk using randomly chosen folder names as file names. The worm disables various system utilities such as the Windows TaskManager and command prompts.
